Summary:
The Clinical Nurse II independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Is responsible for professional accountability and development. The CN II performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. SIPP Only: Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care, assistance and supervision to a child. Required experience includes 1 year RN Acute Care experience or 6 months RN Acute Care experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 1 year of RN acute care experience is required.
Pediatric RN experience is strongly preferred.
Required - Associates - Nursing; Or - Diploma - Nursing; Preferred - Bachelors - Nursing
Required - BLS (Basic Life Support); Required - RN (Registered Nurse); Required - ACLS (Cardiovascular) - If required by department; Preferred - Nurse Specialty
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - if required by department
Shift Hours: 6:45pm-7:15am
Weekend Work: Every Other
On Call: Yes
