BayCare is currently in search of our newest Physical Therapist Assistant - Pool who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Responsibilities of a Physical Therapy Assistant:
Assist Physical Therapists in administering interventions used in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Progress patients/residents according to the treatment plan established by the physical therapist.
Provide direct clinical supervision to Rehabilitation Technicians, Massage Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and Fitness Specialists. Team members with temporary permits are required to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist with at least six months of licensure.
A supervising licensed Physical Therapist is permitted to supervise only one permittee at a time.
Certifications and Licensures:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
Education:
Required Associate's Physical Therapy
Preferred Bachelor's Physical Therapy
Experience:
- Preferred 1 year Physical Therapy Assistant
