Summary:
The Molecular Laboratory Technologist performs high complexity molecular tests, is responsible for appropriate utilization of reagents and supplies, is responsible for sample receipt and storage into the laboratory, assists in the troubleshooting of problems with tests, instruments and sample delivery, assists in the preparation and review of quality control records, assists in the maintenance of instruments' records, failures, calibrations and repairs, and performs laboratory tasks and other functions independently. Required experience includes 2 years in Clinical Laboratory, with at least 1 year in Molecular Diagnostics. Required Licensure Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license, in addition to a ASCP, NCA, or ABB certification in Molecular Biology or Molecular Diagnostics.
