Positions details:
Location Mease Dunedin Hospital
Status: Full-time, hourly
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Occasional weekends
On Call: no
Always in person
The Simulation Technician Participates in the day-to-day operations of the simulation-based education activities. The simulation technician role is a nationally recognized position that supports and assists in performing the many technical aspects of a simulation-based education program. We recognize that this position is limited and for continued support will need to show ROI.. Operates patient simulators and cameras for the duration of simulations. Operates and maintains audio-visual and debriefing systems
Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots all simulation equipment including simulators, computers, monitors, and other medical equipment.
Provides technical support for task trainers and multimedia peripherals.
Provides costuming and moulage for simulation scenarios as requested. Maintains simulation activities and learner confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Programs simulator software to model the simulator's physiological response to educators' direction
Support provided by the technical expertise of the simulation technician is necessary to improve the operation and training of simulation-based education.
Requirements:
Required Associate Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Science or related field with 2 years' experience working in a related field, or Healthcare Simulation, Healthcare Related Field
Must have IT/AV related experience
This position is time-limited with the possibility of continuation pending the availability of funds and department needs.
